THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELS
Before there was a brand, there was a need to create with my own hands
Tatiana Marques Jewelry was not born from the desire to create objects that were simply beautiful.
It was born from a fascination with form, detail, color and the way an object can preserve something deeply human.
Every jewel begins with the belief that what we wear can carry identity, memory, emotion and meaning.
THE JOURNEY
A journey shaped by goldsmithing, architecture, Florence, Rome and the belief that jewelry can carry identity, emotion and story.
Tatiana began studying goldsmithing at Escola Artística António Arroio.
It was her first true contact with the techniques, tools and materials of jewelry making, an important beginning, even though jewelry had not yet become the path she was ready to follow fully.
In 2013, Tatiana moved to Florence and began dedicating herself seriously to jewelry and goldsmithing.
Surrounded by sculpture, architecture and centuries of craftsmanship, jewelry became more than a subject of study. It became the place where drawing, matter, symbolism and emotion could meet.
Her time in Florence, including her training at Metallo Nobile, became the true beginning of the path she would continue to build over the following years.
Alongside her path in jewelry, Tatiana studied architecture at the Lisbon School of Architecture.
Although the academic journey still awaits its final thesis, architecture became an essential part of the way she creates, shaping her understanding of proportion, structure, volume, composition and the relationship between an object and the person who experiences it.
Rather than two separate disciplines, architecture and jewelry gradually became two expressions of the same creative language.
Before beginning her Erasmus experience in Rome, Tatiana returned to Florence one month earlier to spend another period at Metallo Nobile school.
It was a month dedicated to practice, learning and reconnecting with the techniques and creative environment that had marked the beginning of her serious commitment to jewelry.
During her architecture degree, Tatiana spent an Erasmus year in Rome.
Living among layers of history, architecture, sculpture and ornament deepened her fascination with the way time can transform places and objects without erasing their identity.
This relationship between past and present would later become particularly important in jewels inspired by memory, nature, ancient architecture and transformation.
In 2018, Tatiana completed an intensive month-and-a-half training period at the Damiani Academy, in one of the historic centers of Italian fine jewelry.
The experience deepened her technical knowledge and her understanding of the precision, discipline and standards behind the creation of fine jewelry.
Immediately after completing the Academy, Tatiana began working at Damiani, where she remained until 2019.
Working within one of Italy’s historic jewelry houses allowed her to experience a world where tradition, precision and excellence are present in every stage of a jewel’s creation.
It strengthened her belief that true luxury lives not only in precious materials, but also in knowledge, rigor, time and the invisible details behind every finished piece.
Tatiana Marques Jewelry was officially born as the expression of a personal vision: creating singular jewels for people who do not see themselves reflected in what already exists.
Each creation became a meeting point between craftsmanship, architecture, color, identity and story.
The silver chapter came to a conscious end, not because its story mattered any less, but because the vision had become clearer and the dream had grown beyond it.
A new chapter began, devoted to gold, bespoke creation, color, identity, memory and jewels shaped by hand to become part of a life.
WHY COLOR
Color is emotion, identity and life.
It can hold the memory of a place, reveal a part of someone’s personality or express what words cannot.
This is why colored gemstones have always been central to Tatiana Marques Jewelry. No two stones carry light in exactly the same way, just as no two people carry the same story.

Gold is chosen not only for its material value, but for its permanence, its ability to be transformed and its capacity to accompany generations.
It can preserve what existed before while taking on an entirely new form.
In this new chapter, gold becomes the material through which stories are shaped to last.
