Shipping policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Tatiana Marques Jewelry orders are prepared, dispatched, delivered or collected.

It should be read together with the Tatiana Marques Jewelry Terms & Conditions, Returns, Cancellations & Consumer Rights Policy and, where applicable, the individual Jewelry Proposal or other project documentation.

1. SHIPPING DESTINATIONS

Tatiana Marques Jewelry ships from Portugal.

Delivery may be available within Portugal, throughout the European Union and to selected international destinations.

The availability of shipping to a particular country or territory may depend on:

  • the value and nature of the jewelry;
  • carrier availability;
  • insurance coverage;
  • customs restrictions;
  • import requirements;
  • precious metal or gemstone restrictions;
  • security considerations;
  • and other operational or legal requirements.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may decline to ship to a destination where appropriate insured delivery cannot reasonably be arranged or where legal, customs, security or carrier restrictions make delivery unsuitable.

Availability of a destination at checkout does not override any legal or carrier restriction that may subsequently be identified.

2. DELIVERY METHODS

Tatiana Marques Jewelry uses delivery methods considered appropriate to the nature and value of the order.

Depending on the destination and value of the jewelry, delivery may be arranged through:

  • an insured courier or specialist carrier;
  • a tracked postal or courier service;
  • another secure delivery provider;
  • or personal collection by prior appointment.

The specific delivery method may vary from one order to another.

For higher value jewelry, Tatiana Marques Jewelry may require a delivery service that includes additional security, insurance, identification or signature requirements.

3. SHIPPING COSTS

Applicable shipping charges will be communicated before the customer becomes bound by the order whenever required by law.

Shipping charges may vary according to destination, parcel value, insurance requirements, delivery speed and selected carrier.

Any optional premium or expedited delivery service requested by the customer may involve an additional charge.

Consumers must be informed of delivery and other additional charges before concluding a distance contract.

4. PRODUCTION TIME AND SHIPPING TIME

For made to order, personalised and bespoke jewelry, production time and shipping time are separate.

An estimated project completion date does not necessarily mean that the jewelry will be physically delivered on that date.

Once the jewelry has completed production, finishing, quality control and any legally required hallmarking or other procedures, it will be prepared for dispatch.

Estimated transit times begin only after dispatch.

Any production estimate provided in a Jewelry Proposal, order confirmation or other written communication should therefore be read separately from the estimated carrier transit time.

5. DELIVERY DEADLINES

Where a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed in writing as an essential part of the contract, Tatiana Marques Jewelry will use that agreed date as the applicable contractual deadline.

Where no different delivery period has been agreed, Portuguese distance selling legislation generally provides for fulfilment within 30 days from the day following conclusion of the contract. The parties may, however, expressly agree a different period.

For bespoke and made to order jewelry, a longer individual production period will normally be agreed as part of the order or proposal.

Production timelines may vary according to the conditions described in the Terms & Conditions, including design complexity, client approvals, gemstone sourcing, specialist services, hallmarking and other project specific requirements.

6. BRIDAL, WEDDING AND FIXED EVENT DATES

If jewelry is required for a wedding, ceremony or other fixed event, the customer must communicate the event date before the order is confirmed.

An event date will only constitute a guaranteed contractual delivery deadline where Tatiana Marques Jewelry has expressly accepted that deadline in writing.

Where sufficient time is available, Tatiana Marques Jewelry may recommend completing bridal or event jewelry in advance of the event rather than scheduling delivery immediately before it.

Delays caused by late client approvals, missing measurements, unavailable reference information, late payment or requested design changes may affect the previously estimated completion date.

7. URGENT ORDERS

Urgent production or expedited delivery is not automatically available.

An urgent commission must be expressly accepted by Tatiana Marques Jewelry.

Where urgent production is accepted, the customer must provide all required information, approvals, measurements and payments within the requested timeframe.

An urgent commission may involve additional costs where these have been communicated and accepted in advance.

Expedited production does not eliminate unavoidable external processes such as gemstone sourcing, independent certification, hallmarking, specialist services, customs procedures or carrier transit.

8. ORDER READINESS AND DISPATCH

An order will be dispatched once all conditions required for release have been satisfied.

Depending on the project, these may include:

  • completion of production;
  • quality control;
  • hallmarking where required;
  • receipt of full payment;
  • confirmation of the delivery address;
  • completion of any required shipping documentation;
  • and confirmation that an appropriate delivery method is available.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may withhold dispatch where an amount lawfully due in relation to the order remains unpaid.

9. SHIPPING CONFIRMATION AND TRACKING

Where tracking is available, the customer will receive the relevant shipping or tracking information after dispatch.

Tracking information is provided by the carrier and may not always update immediately or continuously.

A carrier's estimated delivery date is normally an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date unless the particular service expressly provides otherwise.

10. DELIVERY ADDRESS

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

The customer should carefully review:

  • recipient name;
  • street and building details;
  • apartment or unit number;
  • postal code;
  • city;
  • country;
  • telephone number;
  • and any other information required for successful delivery.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry is not responsible for delivery failure caused solely by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, without prejudice to any responsibility required by applicable law.

If an incorrect address is identified before dispatch, the customer should contact Tatiana Marques Jewelry immediately.

An address change requested after dispatch may not be possible and may be subject to the carrier's security procedures or additional costs.

11. HIGH VALUE AND SECURE DELIVERIES

For security reasons, higher value orders may be subject to additional delivery controls.

These may include:

  • signature on delivery;
  • identification verification;
  • delivery only to the named recipient;
  • restricted delivery addresses;
  • collection from an authorised carrier location;
  • or other measures required by the carrier or insurer.

Customers should not request that high value parcels be left unattended, outside a property, with an unauthorised third party or in another unsecured location.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may decline delivery instructions that would materially compromise shipment security or insurance coverage.

12. SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY

Where signature is required, the parcel will only be treated as successfully delivered according to the applicable carrier procedure.

Depending on the carrier, a signature may be provided by the recipient or another authorised person at the delivery address.

For selected high value shipments, delivery may be restricted to the named recipient.

The applicable method will depend on the selected delivery service.

13. TRANSFER OF RISK

Where Tatiana Marques Jewelry arranges delivery to a consumer, the risk of loss or damage remains with Tatiana Marques Jewelry until the consumer, or a third person designated by the consumer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods, in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where the consumer independently appoints a carrier not proposed by Tatiana Marques Jewelry, the legal rules applicable to transfer of risk will apply.

Transfer of risk is distinct from ownership, payment obligations and statutory conformity rights.

14. INSURANCE

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may use insured shipping appropriate to the value and characteristics of the order.

Insurance coverage, limits and conditions depend on the selected carrier and service.

Customers must cooperate with any reasonable documentation or procedural requirement necessary to investigate a lost, stolen or damaged insured shipment.

A claim with a carrier or insurer does not reduce any mandatory rights that the consumer has directly against Tatiana Marques Jewelry.

15. PACKAGING

Jewelry is prepared and packaged with reasonable care appropriate to its nature and intended method of transport.

Packaging may include presentation packaging, protective packaging and external transport packaging.

The exact packaging supplied may vary according to the type of jewelry, project, value, destination and service level.

Any presentation or care accessories shown in general brand imagery are not automatically included with every order unless stated in the relevant product or project description.

16. DISCREET SHIPPING

Where appropriate, external shipping packaging may be discreet and may not visibly identify the contents as fine jewelry.

This is intended to support transport security.

Legal or carrier documentation may nevertheless need to identify the sender, declared value, contents or other required information.

17. DELIVERY ATTEMPTS AND FAILED DELIVERY

The customer is responsible for being reasonably available to receive the parcel or following the carrier's procedure for redelivery or authorised collection.

If delivery cannot be completed because no authorised recipient is available, the carrier may make another delivery attempt, hold the parcel at an authorised location or return it to Tatiana Marques Jewelry.

The procedure depends on the carrier and destination.

Where a parcel is returned because of:

  • repeated failed delivery;
  • failure to collect within the carrier's permitted period;
  • an incorrect address supplied by the customer;
  • refusal of delivery without legal justification;
  • or failure to comply with reasonable customs or carrier requirements,

the customer may be responsible for additional shipping or return costs to the extent permitted by law.

The order will not automatically be treated as cancelled merely because delivery was unsuccessful.

18. REFUSAL OF DELIVERY

A customer should not refuse a parcel solely because the external packaging shows minor cosmetic damage that does not indicate damage to the contents.

Where there is significant visible damage, evidence of tampering or another serious concern, the customer should document the condition of the parcel before or immediately upon opening it and contact Tatiana Marques Jewelry promptly.

Where appropriate, the customer may also record the issue with the carrier at the time of delivery.

Refusal of delivery does not automatically constitute valid exercise of a statutory withdrawal right or termination of the contract.

19. DAMAGED PARCELS

If an order appears to have been damaged during transport, the customer should contact Tatiana Marques Jewelry as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, the customer should retain:

  • the jewelry;
  • presentation packaging;
  • external shipping packaging;
  • labels;
  • and all protective materials

until the matter has been assessed.

Photographs or video showing the external packaging, internal packaging and jewelry may be requested.

The purpose of prompt notification is to allow investigation of transport damage and preservation of evidence. It does not replace or shorten any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

Under EU consumer rules, where the trader arranges delivery, responsibility for transport damage generally remains with the trader until the consumer takes physical possession of the goods.

20. LOST OR MISSING SHIPMENTS

If tracking indicates an unusual delay or the parcel has not arrived within the expected period, the customer should contact Tatiana Marques Jewelry.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may open an investigation with the carrier before a shipment is formally treated as lost.

The customer must provide reasonable cooperation with the investigation where required.

Where Tatiana Marques Jewelry bears the transport risk and the shipment is confirmed lost, the matter will be resolved in accordance with applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the order.

For a bespoke or One of a Kind piece, replacement may not always be immediately possible because the original piece, gemstone or materials may be unique.

In such cases, the legally appropriate remedy will be determined according to the individual circumstances.

21. DELAYED DELIVERY

Carrier transit times may be affected by weather, customs, security controls, transport disruption, public holidays, remote destinations and other external circumstances.

A delay in carrier transit does not automatically mean that the parcel has been lost.

Where a legally relevant delivery deadline has not been met, the customer's rights will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law.

EU consumer rules generally allow a consumer, where delivery does not take place within the agreed period, to require delivery within an additional reasonable period before terminating the contract, except in circumstances where an additional period is not legally required, including where the trader has refused delivery or an expressly agreed deadline was essential.

22. CUSTOMS AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Orders shipped outside the relevant customs territory may be subject to customs procedures.

Depending on the destination, customs authorities may require:

  • import duties;
  • local VAT or sales tax;
  • customs clearance charges;
  • brokerage charges;
  • identification information;
  • supporting invoices;
  • gemstone or precious metal documentation;
  • or other import information.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, customs duties, import taxes and destination country charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry cannot control charges imposed by foreign customs authorities.

Customers purchasing internationally are responsible for checking whether the jewelry may lawfully be imported into the destination country and whether any particular local requirements apply.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry will provide commercially reasonable documentation required for lawful export and delivery.

23. CUSTOMS DELAYS

Customs clearance is controlled by the authorities of the destination or transit country and may be outside the control of Tatiana Marques Jewelry.

Customs processing may therefore extend estimated delivery times.

Where customs authorities request information from the recipient, the customer should respond within the required period.

Failure by the recipient to cooperate with lawful customs requirements may result in delay, return or other charges.

24. INTERNATIONAL TAXES AND DUTIES

The price displayed or quoted by Tatiana Marques Jewelry may not include taxes, duties or charges imposed after import into another jurisdiction unless expressly stated.

Where Tatiana Marques Jewelry offers a delivery service that includes duties or taxes, this will be stated before the order is confirmed.

Otherwise, the customer is responsible for amounts levied by the destination country.

25. INTERNATIONAL RETURNS TO SENDER

If an international parcel is returned to Tatiana Marques Jewelry because the recipient failed to complete customs clearance, refused to pay applicable import charges, provided incorrect delivery information or otherwise failed to complete a required recipient action, reasonable additional transport, customs or administrative costs may be chargeable to the customer where permitted by law.

This does not affect circumstances where the return results from an error attributable to Tatiana Marques Jewelry or where mandatory consumer rights provide otherwise.

26. PERSONAL COLLECTION

Personal collection may be available by prior appointment.

The customer will be contacted when the piece is ready for collection.

A collection appointment should only be arranged after Tatiana Marques Jewelry confirms that the jewelry is ready and all applicable payment conditions have been satisfied.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may request identification before releasing high value jewelry.

Where another person is collecting on the customer's behalf, prior written authorisation may be required.

Collection from the atelier is by appointment only and does not make the atelier a general walk in retail location.

27. COLLECTION BY A THIRD PARTY

If the customer wishes another person to collect the jewelry, Tatiana Marques Jewelry may require:

  • the customer's written authorisation;
  • the name of the authorised person;
  • appropriate identification;
  • and any other reasonable security confirmation.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may refuse release where there is reasonable doubt concerning the collector's authority or identity.

28. UNCOLLECTED ORDERS

Where a completed piece is not collected or delivery is not arranged after the customer has been informed that it is ready, Tatiana Marques Jewelry will hold the item for a reasonable period.

Prolonged storage may create additional security, insurance or administrative requirements.

Any consequences or costs associated with prolonged non collection will only be applied where permitted by law and, where appropriate, after written notice to the customer.

Client owned jewelry, gold or gemstones do not become the property of Tatiana Marques Jewelry merely because they remain uncollected.

29. DELIVERY OF CLIENT OWNED MATERIALS TO TATIANA MARQUES JEWELRY

Where a client sends gold, gemstones, existing jewelry or other materials to Tatiana Marques Jewelry, the shipment should only take place after prior written agreement.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may provide or recommend a particular shipping method depending on the nature and value of the materials.

Clients should not send precious materials using an uninsured or unsuitable method merely because it is cheaper or more convenient.

Unless Tatiana Marques Jewelry has expressly arranged the collection itself, the risk applicable to property being sent to Tatiana Marques Jewelry will depend on the shipping arrangement and applicable law.

The client should retain proof of dispatch and any available tracking or insurance documentation until receipt has been confirmed.

Receipt and custody of client materials are also governed by the Terms & Conditions and, where used, the Client Gold Intake and Custody Form.

30. RETURN SHIPPING FOLLOWING REPAIR OR SERVICE

Where a piece is returned following a paid repair, alteration or maintenance service, applicable delivery charges will be communicated as part of the service arrangement.

Where return transport is required as part of a statutory remedy for lack of conformity, the allocation of transport costs will follow mandatory consumer law.

The consumer must not be charged costs that applicable law requires Tatiana Marques Jewelry to bear.

31. CHANGE OF DELIVERY METHOD

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may change the proposed carrier or equivalent delivery service before dispatch where reasonably necessary for security, availability, insurance or operational reasons, provided that the replacement method does not materially reduce the agreed level of service.

Where a material change affects cost or an expressly agreed delivery condition, the customer will be informed before dispatch where required.

32. SECURITY AND FRAUD PREVENTION

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may carry out reasonable security or payment verification before dispatching higher value orders.

Where necessary, dispatch may be temporarily delayed while a payment, identity or delivery detail is verified.

Tatiana Marques Jewelry will not request unnecessary personal information and any personal data used for verification will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

33. DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS

Tatiana Marques Jewelry may impose reasonable restrictions on:

  • delivery to PO boxes;
  • parcel lockers;
  • hotels;
  • temporary accommodation;
  • forwarding services;
  • freight forwarders;
  • high risk destinations;
  • or another address that cannot meet applicable security or insurance requirements.

Such restrictions may vary according to order value, carrier and destination.

34. GIFTS

Where an order is intended as a gift, the purchaser remains responsible for providing accurate recipient and delivery information.

Where permitted by the selected delivery method, a different recipient may be designated.

For security and data protection reasons, Tatiana Marques Jewelry may limit the information disclosed to a gift recipient regarding the purchaser, price or order details.

Any statutory rights belonging to the purchaser or consumer will be determined according to the applicable contract and law.

35. PACKAGING AND CERTIFICATES

Where applicable to the particular order, the jewelry may be supplied with Tatiana Marques Jewelry presentation packaging and documentation such as:

  • a Certificate of Authenticity;
  • care information;
  • relevant hallmarking information;
  • independent gemstone documentation where applicable;
  • or other project specific documents.

Not every piece includes independent gemstone certification.

The applicable certification framework is described in the Jewelry Certification & Hallmarking page.

36. ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH TO SHIPPING

Tatiana Marques Jewelry aims to balance protection, security and presentation with responsible use of packaging materials.

Shipping and presentation packaging may evolve over time as materials, suppliers and operational requirements change.

A change in packaging does not affect the authenticity or contractual characteristics of the jewelry.

37. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TERMS & CONDITIONS

This Shipping & Delivery Policy forms part of the information provided by Tatiana Marques Jewelry concerning delivery and fulfilment.

If an individual Jewelry Proposal or written agreement establishes a specific production or delivery condition for a bespoke project, that individual condition should be read together with this Policy and the general Terms & Conditions.

Mandatory consumer law prevails in the event of any conflict.
